Here are some of the Frequently Asked Questions from our guests.
Q. How far are you from the airport?
A. We are just over 20 miles north of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Depending on traffic, this is usually a 25-40 minute drive.

Q. How do I get to the hotel from the airport?
A. Driving north on I-5, take exit #173. Turn left at the bottom of the exit onto 1st Avenue NE. Turn left again at the next light onto Northgate Way. Drive under the freeway overpass, and the hotel will be on the right hand side.
If you need transportation to or from the airport, the best options are taxi, town car or Shuttle Express. A taxi will cost nearly $50. The hotel can arrange a private town car to pick you up at the hotel or at the airport for $38 per car one way. Shuttle Express is a service that makes frequently-scheduled runs between the airport and a number of local hotels. It is a shared van that costs approximately $28 for one person and about $15 for each additional person each way.

Q. Does the hotel have a shuttle service?
A. The hotel does not offer a shuttle to the airport. We offer free regularly-scheduled shuttle service to a number of locations downtown and in the University District. This is a free first-come first-served van service that leaves the hotel approximately every two hours from 6:30am until 10:30pm. Guests must sign up for the shuttle with the front desk. Downtown locations accessible by our shuttle include the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the Convention Center, sports stadiums and many more! We often provide special express shuttles to Mariners and Seahawks games as well.

Q. How far is the hotel from the University of Washington?
A. We are located about 5 miles north of the University of Washington, usually a 10-15 minute drive. Our shuttles provide free transportation to and from several U-District destinations.

Q. How far is the hotel from downtown Seattle?
A. We are 6-7 miles north of downtown Seattle, including the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, Safeco Field and Qwest Field. Our free shuttle service provides regularly-scheduled transportation to most downtown destinations.

Q. Do you have a swimming pool/hot tub?
A. We have a heated outdoor pool and outdoor hot tub that are open seasonally dependant upon the weather. We also have an indoor hot tub in our fitness center open year-round.

Reservations confirmation and guarantee policy:
A credit card is required as a guarantee on all reservations, and a valid card must be presented at check in. Any reservation made without a guarantee will be cancelled 24 hours prior to arrival unless special arrangements have been made. Emailed, faxed or mailed confirmation letters are available upon request.
Cancellations and charges:
The hotel has a 24 hour cancellation policy. Any guaranteed reservation not cancelled by 4pm on the day before arrival will be charged a no-show charge of the entire room rate.
Check in and Checkout times:
Check in time is 4:00pm, and all guaranteed reservations can check in any time after 4:00. Check out time is 12 noon. Early check ins and later checkouts can be arranged for guests with special needs, please inquire with the front desk.
Entrances and security to the hotel:
All doors and gates to the hotel are either only accessible by a guest cardkey or are locked after 6pm. The lobby entrance to the front desk is open 24 hours and we have 24-hour staff on property and security officers at night.
Facilities for Guests with Disabilities:
Hotel Nexus has recently remodeled and now has an ADA accessible bathroom in the lobby. ADA accessible guestrooms are available and should be requested at the time of making your reservation. We will be adding two additional ADA accessible guestrooms with roll-in showers by February 2006.

Q. Do you have extended stay rates?
A. Yes, we do have extended stay rates for guests staying seven or more nights. Please call the hotel directly to discuss your requirements. We will help you decide if you will require a two-room kitchen suite or a standard room with microwave and refrigerator. Guests who receive extended stay rates will receive housekeeping services weekly with garbage removal and towel changes twice weekly and upon request.

Q. Do you accept pets in the rooms?
A. We do offer a number of pet-friendly rooms, which are located on each floor of the hotel. There is a pet fee of $50 + tax per stay. We provide doggy treats, waste bags and directions to a nearby off-leash dog park upon check in.

Q. Is there a restaurant on the property?
A. The Berkshire Grill is our award-winning on-site restaurant. The Berkshire Grill serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. The menu offers many delicious options from steak and seafood to pasta, great salads and burgers. There is also a smoke-free lounge in the restaurant. Free wireless Internet access is provided in the Berkshire Grill.

Q. Do you have Internet access?
A. Yes, we provide complimentary High-Speed Internet access in all guestrooms and in the lobby and the Berkshire Grill. The internet access in the rooms is both wired and wireless (although a number of ground floor rooms offer only wireless Internet access). The internet access in the lobby and the Berkshire Grill is wireless. Ethernet cables are available at the front desk upon request; a deposit will be charged to your room which will be refunded upon returning the Ethernet cable. We also offer a complimentary business center in the lobby with two computer workstations with Internet access and a self-service printer, copier and fax.

Q. Does the hotel have meeting/reception facilities?
A. We have a few different meeting room options in the hotel that can accommodate small meetings as well large receptions and banquets. Catering is also available from the Berkshire Grill. Please call the hotel directly for prices and availability.

Q. What shops/restaurants are in the area?
A. The Berkshire Grill, located on-site at the hotel, is a great local restaurant. There are also several other restaurants within walking distance or a quick drive, including Red Robin, Tony Roma’s, Marie Calendar’s, Azteca and the California Pizza Kitchen. Starbucks and McDonalds are located just across the street. The Northgate Mall is a few blocks from the hotel along with Target, Best Buy and a number of other shops and restaurants.
